Summer Flew By!!!

In a week school will be starting. I can’t believe it!!! Our summer just flew by. Most of my days were spent driving Goober to and from football practice. He had to be there by 7am. So I pretty much did not get a summer off.

Busy Bee started cheerleading this summer. She loves it. This is something she was made for considering her very loud voice 😆 I volunteered to be the team mom. It’s a lot of work but I love it. I do best when I have something to keep me busy.

So what did we do all summer??? We got some beach days in. Hubby joined us for a few trips too. We spent a lot of time hanging in the yard and enjoying the pool. I added some new ink to my “collection” and I got my lip and eyebrow pierced. I found time to get some reading in. I read about 6 or 7 books so far. If I keep up my reading hubby will buy me a Kindle I had a rough time with my mom 😦 She is not loving my new look. As of now we are not speaking to each other.

Gosh writing all this down makes my summer seem so dull! It wasn’t our most exciting summer but I have to say I enjoyed myself.

I am looking forward to school starting. Busy Bee will be in full day so hopefully I will get more done this year. I’d like to start working with Jo-Jo since he wont be in preschool and maybe get some more sewing done too. I’ve been trying to save more money with coupons and I hope to have more time to search for good deals while the kids are off in school.  I really can’t think of anything else?? I’ve just been living day by day and enjoying what I can 😉

I do hope to get some more blogging in too 😉

7 Months, School & So Much More!!

My sweet little guy is 7 months already! Where oh where has the time gone??  At 7 months he still fits comfortably in size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes. He does wear some 6-9 month clothes but these are hand-me-downs and I’m sure they are not true to size 😉

School……we we are so busy with all things school. Getting clothes ready the night before, doing homework and packing lunches and snacks. Oh and we can’t forget all the days we are supposed to wear a certain color item of clothing or show-n-tell. School has thoroughly consumed my house!!!

And the so much more?? Well I am proud to say that I have gotten my very first dishwasher! Yes that is correct……I have never ever had a dishwasher (other than my oldest son 😆 ) It is a small portable model that I must run twice a day but I am not complaining. I just LOVE it! I feel so free to use my dishes and not fret over having a sink full of dirty dishes!

We have also gotten some “new” furniture! A so very me plaid sofa, love seat & chair. Our old set was 11 years old and definitely showing its age. With our new furniture comes new rules: NO eating in the livingroom and NO dogs on the furniture.

Yup that’s right I said DOGS!! We have a new member to our family. Maggie a sweet black poodle puppy. As if my house wasn’t crazy enough 😆 She was in desperate need of a home and I couldn’t say no.

It’s Been Too Long!!

I have wanted to blog so many times. I even get the whole thing “written” out in my head. It just never makes out 😆

I believe I am in a new season. The” never stop running because your children are in school” season. Since school started I have been non-stop.

Busy Bee is just loving kindergarten!! She has made many new friends. Girls are so social!! Her teacher says she’s a little on the chatty side (just like her momma!!)

Chip is doing great in first grade. He adjusted well to the full day schedule. He is not liking the homework tho.

Ry-Guy and Goober are doing well. Not much new for the big boys.

Jo-Jo…..well he really deserves a few blog entries all to himself. He has been having trouble sleeping. I believe it’s a delayed reaction to the stress of my bed rest and the birth of the baby. Along with his sleeping problems he has also been acting very fresh. He will cry if something doesn’t go his way, he doesn’t listen when we are out of the house and he will pick fights with Chip and Busy Bee. It has been exhausting to say the least!!!

Gus has gotten so big! At six months he is weighing in at 13lbs. 14oz!!! He is now on cereal and I have given him bananas, peas & sweet potatoes. He has 2 bottom teeth. He is finally strong enough to sit in the exersaucer and he really enjoys it. He still requires my attention almost all the time and he will only nap in my arms or when we are out and he is in the carseat. He does sleep great at night tho. I am in no hurry for him to start crawling 😉

I know there is so much more but my little one is requiring some mommy time!!!
