Happy New Year?

Standard

Is it 2010 yet?? Did I miss the new year? I have been sick in bed since Christmas Eve day 😦 I slept from 9am-4pm Christmas Eve day and from 11am-4pm Christmas day. I was feeling a bit better for about a day and half then I got really sick again. My symptoms were the typical head cold symptoms – stuffy nose, sinus pressure and non-productive cough from the post-nasal drip. But along with that I was drop dead tired!! I guess the good thing was that hubby was home for a few days and my kids were off of school. Sunday (1/3) was the first day I was feeling well enough to get out of bed. I still have a stuffy nose tho. So now I feel like the new year started without me!

Looking Forward To A New Year!

Standard

Well I can’t say I’m sad to see 2009 come to an end. This has not been a good year for me. In this past year I had 2 miscarriages, faced some financial problems, ended a few friendships (one of which was a 14 year-long friendship), cut off all ties with extended family, Goober had a passing out episode which resulted in an ER visit, Chip was in the ER for stitches on his lip after a fall off the bunk bed ladder, Chip also had surgery for a hernia repair, the transmission went in my van and my depression has gotten the best of this past year being more on then off.

I did have some good this year too. I am now more than half way through my pregnancy, money issues are turning around for us, Goober graduated valedictorian of his 8th grade class, I got some new tattoos, we adopted a stray kitten and my children have been quite healthy.

Sadly my list of bad things is longer than my list of good things which is why I am looking forward to a fresh start in a new year 😉

This is what I am looking forward to in 2010: the birth of our 6th child, my only daughter Busy Bee will start kindergarten, our financial situation is on a positive track and will make huge improvements over the next year, family time, summer on the beach and watching each of my children grow and learn 🙂

I am ready to leave 2009 behind and I welcome the new year!!!
