I Don’t Have A Witty Title For This Post!

So it’s been quite a while since I last posted. Some nights I lay in bed and compose an entry…only to forget it once I wake up. I have been pleasantly busy since school has started. I started going to MOPS again. I was a bit nervous because I knew the moms that I had problems with while I was in the hospital on bedrest would be there. But being stronger now then I was then I did it. It was a bit awkward a few times but all in all I had a great time. I also went to another MOPS group a few towns over. My friend around the corner from me invited us. So now I have 2 MOPS families Jo-Jo loves his MOPS-school as he says it.

Busy Bee’s cheer season is coming to an end. I believe we only have 2 or 3 games left We both have thoroughly enjoyed this. Next year I think I may volunteer to be a coach. She is also busy with her Daisy Scout troop. My Busy Bee truly is very busy!!

I have also been quite busy with Goober and football. Picking up from practice, dropping off at practices and games and attending what games I can. He has worked very hard at this. I feel bad that our school doesn’t have a better team. He comes home so disappointed when we don’t win

Gus has been growing in leaps and bounds. He continues to amaze and amuse us. He still enjoys being worn and sleeping with mommy. It’s like he must be close enough to touch me at all times. I am not complaining tho….he very well may be our last blessing We have been busy enjoying our time at MOPS and our playgroups. There are 2 Christian playgroups we go to. It is good for Gus to play with other children while I am close by as he has a very difficult time separating from me!!!

Ry-Guy is my “slug” kid. If you look at him it seems like he is barely moving lol! He is pretty much doing the same ‘ol, same ‘ol. He is still dating the same girl since February. They mostly text and talk on the phone. He has adjusted as well as he can for high school. He is doing good in school….just not doing well in the waking-up-on-time department

Let’s see who is left??? Chip!!! Well I guess he is my other “slug” kid As of now he is not doing any activities. We may start boy scouts soon? I just have to see when they meet. Hubby’s job is moving to a new location an hour away from home in the next few weeks and I’m not sure he will be home to take him to the meetings.

As for me…..I have sold a few of my carriers!! I may re-open my Etsy store soon. I’m taking my time on deciding…don’t want to stress myself out. We have also started going back to church.The time was right for us. It feels good to be back. Right now I am in a very good place. I am enjoying each moment as best as I can. I know that at any moment it can all come crashing down (not that I am wishing for that!!)

Summer Flew By!!!

In a week school will be starting. I can’t believe it!!! Our summer just flew by. Most of my days were spent driving Goober to and from football practice. He had to be there by 7am. So I pretty much did not get a summer off.

Busy Bee started cheerleading this summer. She loves it. This is something she was made for considering her very loud voice I volunteered to be the team mom. It’s a lot of work but I love it. I do best when I have something to keep me busy.

So what did we do all summer??? We got some beach days in. Hubby joined us for a few trips too. We spent a lot of time hanging in the yard and enjoying the pool. I added some new ink to my “collection” and I got my lip and eyebrow pierced. I found time to get some reading in. I read about 6 or 7 books so far. If I keep up my reading hubby will buy me a Kindle I had a rough time with my mom She is not loving my new look. As of now we are not speaking to each other.

Gosh writing all this down makes my summer seem so dull! It wasn’t our most exciting summer but I have to say I enjoyed myself.

I am looking forward to school starting. Busy Bee will be in full day so hopefully I will get more done this year. I’d like to start working with Jo-Jo since he wont be in preschool and maybe get some more sewing done too. I’ve been trying to save more money with coupons and I hope to have more time to search for good deals while the kids are off in school. I really can’t think of anything else?? I’ve just been living day by day and enjoying what I can

Due Date

Well today is the day my baby should have been turning one. (Or a few days after with my history ) Instead my wonderful lil’ guy came to us 6 weeks early! He’s such a sweetie and so very strong. Life with him is amazing <3

He gets into EVERYTHING!!!!

It’s Back!

I knew it wouldn’t last forever. I was expecting it to come. I’ve been trying to night wean Gus so that he would sleep through the night. Approximately 4 weeks after starting this IT returned. I have to say it is weird to have this ~~old friend~~ back. One good thing that has come of this is that the pounds are ~~melting~~ well dripping away! I lost about 4 pounds right away and I’ve noticed that my appetite has decreased a bit. I’m sure it has to do more with less breastfeeding than it does with my monthly visitors return. Either way I am happy with the change

On a side note this explains a lot for me. I was feeling quite moody and emotional last week. I even went as far as logging off of Facebook Now I know I wasn’t going crazy!!

Relief At Last!!!

I am finally feeling some relief. About 2 months ago I had a piece of my wisdom tooth break off. It was fine for almost 2 weeks. Then the pain set it. At first is was a come and go pain. Then it turned into a throbbing sharp wake you up from a deep sleep pain!! Last night I finally got it pulled. This was the first tooth I have ever had pulled. I was quite scared. At my moms suggestion I brought my ipod with me to distract me through the procedure. It went much quicker then I expected. I was in some pain last night, but nothing like the tooth pain of before.

Hopefully I’ll lose a few pounds from this

My Miracle Baby Is One!!!

One year ago today my sweet miracle baby was born. He was born 6 weeks early and 6 weeks after my water broke @ 28 weeks. It was a very scary time for me our family. He spent one long week in the NICU. He came home a small but perfect baby. He has been such a joy!

A Lesson On Pride

I’m not a very confident person. So when I hear about pride I think to myself that I don’t have to worry myself about that. Pride is a sin. Pride is first on the list of the seven deadly sins. Haughtiness, arrogance, conceit, high self-esteem, vanity……you see this every where you look!

To fear the LORD is to hate evil;

I was reading an article in Above Rubies about a woman who never asked for help. I never ask for help. I never even thought that not asking for help was prideful. This quote from the article really struck me: “My need to feel capable and strong has unknowingly squashed another one’s need to feel helpful and needed!”

Gosh I never thought of it that way! I almost always turn down help from others!

When pride comes, then comes dishonor, But with the humble is wisdom.

My Baby Was Barely A Baby!!

I feel really cheated. With Gus being born early it seemed like it took forever for him to be a “baby” Then all of a sudden he’s not a baby anymore. He no longer eats baby food, he doesn’t sit in the bouncy seat, he refuses to use the exersaucer, he’s out of the infant car seat and now rear facing in the convertible car seat and I just packed away the baby bathtub In 2 weeks my “baby” will be one. Where has th time gone??

(I don’t really feel cheated, I cherish every moment with my children. This was just an observation on how un-baby my baby has been )
